✨ Welcome back to Forest & Freedom! This week’s van build update isn’t flashy, but it’s the important basics that lay the foundation for all the fun, creative builds to come. Sometimes the “boring” work is what makes van life actually livable!

In this video, I:

🥘 Found a Blackstone griddle and two camp tables in the dumpster (and restored the griddle on camera!)

🧹 Cleared out my cluttered van, emptied it completely, and gave it a full deep clean

🕷️ Set off foggers to take care of spiders, ants, and creepy crawlies

✨ Wiped down every inch of the inside to make it fresh and cozy

🛏️ Bought new sheets and a pillow for my bed setup

💡 Shared a peek at my new van lighting setup (a solar set from Temu + budget-friendly battery lights from Dollar General)

⛺ Did a test camp setup across from my home site with the portable kitchen and gear

🐾 And of course, gave an update on Bocephus, since so many of you have been sending love his way 💚

Van life isn’t always glamorous — sometimes it’s about cleaning, prepping, and setting up the basics so the cozy forest-cottage magic can come to life.
